Yale Students Learn About Chesed

Over the past few years, close to 100 Jewish Yale University students, intent on exploring their rich heritage, traveled to Brooklyn to experience Shabbat. Each fall and spring, they make a Sunday field trip to YBL'K to observe the Torah mandate of chesed in action.

Each group finds itself awestruck by the unassuming garage in Flatbush, jam-packed with high-quality linens, dishes, silverware and countless other items needed to set up a Jewish home.

YBL'K's Triumphant Tea 2011

Over Two Decades of Nonstop Chesed

On Feb 15th, 11 Iyar, hundreds of women braved a cold wintry night to fill the Agudah of Avenue L to mark Yad Batya L'Kallah's twenty-three years of unremitting chesed.

Bathed in soft lavender lights and magnificent flower creations, the room featured an array of delectable cuisine, including a full sushi bar, hot buffet, salads, and assorted hors d'oeuvres, prepared by Guttman's Creations.
