Michel Yehuda Lefkowitz ZATZAL.
Yidden around the globe had been Davening for the Rosh Yeshiva - who was rushed to Shaarei Tzedek hospital after collapsing late Shabbos afternoon. He was placed on a respirator and was in extremly critical condition until his Petira - just a few moments ago.
Rav Lefkowitz, who was 97-years-old, had been staying in Katamon (Yerushalayim) since last Monday, reportedly to rest. He collapsed during Shalosh Seudos, and was taken to the hospital by MDA Paramedics and Ichud Hatzolah.
Rav Michel Yehuda ZATZAL, was one of the Gedolei Hador, and was one of the biggest Talmidim of Rav Shlomo Heiman ZATZAL, and learned under the Chazon Ish after arriving in Eretz Yisroel.
For more than 50 years he served as Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Ponovezh L'Tzeirim, teaching thousands upon thousands of Talmidim
Rav Michel Yehudah was a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah of Degel Hatorah, and was the person who released the Chiddushei Rav Shlomo, the Shiurim of Rav Shlomo Heiman.
