Every year the Social Security Administration (SSA) compiles statistics on children under 18 years of age who were recipients of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) during December of the previous year. Under an informal agreement with the SSA, state level summaries of these data are made available for dissemination to state, regional and national programs serving Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN or CYSHCN). Programs use these data for grant applications, needs assessment and planning, evaluation and annual reporting.
We are pleased to announce that the SSI data for 2010, released in May of this year, as well as reports for earlier years, are now available for viewing and download on the Data Resource Center for Child and Adolescent Health.
