Convocation
Next Friday's convocation will be to welcome John Guiliano, Director of the Tamarindos in Guajila, El Salvador. The Tamarindos are a youth group formed following the violent civil war in El Salvador from 1980-1992. John, a native New Yorker, saw a need and dove in headfirst. The Tamarindos give young people a chance - something positive to do, education, guidance on making good decisions, and knowledge that someone cares about them. After operating out of a barn and chicken coop for many years, John is trying to get a new youth center built. To raise money, he is riding his bike from Boston to San Francisco. He will be making a stop at Guerin Catholic to address our students on his way.

pgParent Guild
Volunteer Form

Guerin Catholic needs you!  The Parent Guild is an organization that supports the school, students, staff, and the community.  We have many exciting opportunities for which parents can volunteer.  There is still time to turn in your purple "Volunteer Opportunities" form.  If you have misplaced your form, simply click "here" to print a new one.  We look forward to working with you!

Dues Form

Also, don't forget to turn in your Parent Guild dues along with your volunteer form.  This is a suggested donation of $20.00 (which would be tax deductible) and these dues greatly help Parent Guild get started on the year with all of the activites, such as homecoming, Grandparent's Breakfast, Winter formal, etc..  We also are able to fulfill many teacher "wish lists" because of your dues donations.  For the Parent Guild dues form, please click "here".  Thank you so much for helping the Parent Guild!

ctclColleges that Change Lives

On Tuesday August 28th at 7:00 p.m., the Colleges That Change Lives Tour (CTCL) will be held at the Sheraton Indianapolis at Keystone Crossing Plaza Ballroom A-E.

The CTCL schools are a group of distinctive colleges and universities - two public and 38 private from 24 states with enrollments ranging from 350 to 4,000. Each of these liberal arts colleges is unique in its own right. They are awesome examples of colleges with characteristics and outcomes that lead to life-changing possibilities for students.
