Uniform Change
As we communicated to our families earlier this week, effective July 1, 2012 Lands End will be an additional provider of Guerin Catholic school uniforms, Mass day uniforms and Kinesiology uniforms. After the 2012/2013 school-year Land's End will be the only provider of our school uniforms.
If you own the current, Logo USA uniform, it will be acceptable option as we will grandfather the Logo USA Guerin Catholic uniforms for students through the 2015-16 school year. In addition, you may continue to purchase uniforms from Logo USA throughout the coming academic year.
In addition to being able to order via a kiosk within the Lands End store (Sears) at Castleton Square Mall, Lands End will also offer families a "Guerin Catholic" website at which school uniforms may be ordered. The Lands End retail store and website will begin accepting Guerin Catholic uniform orders in early July.
We are pleased to offer this additional option to our families and have arranged for Lands End to host a "Uniform Fitting Day" on our campus. That fitting day has not yet been scheduled but will be sometime in late June or early July--in plenty of time to have items ordered and shipped prior to the first day of school in August.
Families are also welcome to attend the fitting days at LOGO USA:
Wednesday, June 20, 10 am - 7 pm
More information about the Lands End uniform options and details will be shared via the Guerin Catholic Updates in the coming weeks.
Mr. Wagner's Ordination Mr. Wagner will be ordained on June 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis. It is a 'ticket only' event, so Rick regrets that he cannot invite everyone who has expressed an interest.
He would like to pass along the following information to the Guerin Catholic community:
Rick will be celebrating his Mass of Thanksgiving the evening of his ordination -
June 23 at the 5:00 p.m. Mass at St. Pius X Parish (7200 Sarto Drive in Indianapolis - just a few blocks east of the intersection of N. Keystone Ave. and E. 71st Street). He will be delivering his first homily at that Mass and afterward there will be a reception for him in the parish hall. He will also be preaching at all of the Masses at the parish on Sunday, June 24 - 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m.
All are welcome to attend any of these Masses! If you would like to attend the reception, the
parish asks that you please RSVP. There is no cost; they would simply like to have an approximate head count for food purposes. To RSVP online,
go to www.spxparish.org and click on 'Deacon Rick Wagner Reception RSVP.' Please RSVP by June 15th. Thank you for your interest and ongoing support!
Also, Please keep
Mr. Wopata and
Miss Wassel in your prayers as on June 23, at St. Maria Goretti through the sacrament of holy matrimony, they will become
Mr. & Mrs. Wopata!
Congratulations all!
