Yearbook
Sponsor Opportunity
"Building a Legacy" is the theme of our second full-color yearbook! The yearbook staff would like to give the Guerin Catholic community the opportunity to help the school's publication by offering sponsorships - this will also help cover the cost of the color. For $50 you may appear as a sponsor in the yearbook. In addition to sponsor listings, if you or a relative or close family friend would be interested in placing a business sponsorship in the yearbook, you may open the attached file for further information. Our yearbook reaches many areas; this is a great opportunity not only for publicity but also for support of our school publication - AND this section of our book won an award last year! Please contact Mary Lynne Voigt, mvoigt@guerincatholic.org or 582-0120, x. 281, if you have any questions. Thank you!
Senior Ads
Consider placing an ad in our Yearbook to recognize your Guerin Catholic senior!! Click

Indiana Tax DeductionThere is a new tax deduction available for tax payers who have children attending private or parochial schools. The deduction is $1,000 per child but applies only to children attending a private or parochial school. It does not apply to children attending a public school.

Help Needed at Lucas Oil Events
As Guerin Catholic prepares to work at the last two Lucas Oil Stadium events this year, volunteers are needed to assist the Women's Soccer Team on March 3, 2012 at the Monster Jam and the Cheerleading Squad on March 17, 2012 for the Super Motor Cross.
Adult Volunteers with TIPS licenses are needed for both events, as well as adults to be cashiers and students to work food prep and serving.
Please contact Jonathan McClure (Soccer Coach at jmcclure@guerincatholic.org) or Misty Booher (Cheerleading Coach at misty.booher@Gmail.com), as soon as possible, if you are willing (and able) to assist them in their efforts. Thank you!
Parents of Sophomores & Seniors
On February 28th, our sophomores and seniors will be participating in the Indiana Prevention Resource Center's (a department of Applied Health Science of Indiana University in Bloomington) survey of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use amongst Indiana students. The survey will take place during a 30-minute portion of their Kairos period. This will be the first day of the new trimester, so using a portion of their Kairos time to take the survey should not be a problem for students.
The survey is conducted for two purposes: (1) to provide local schools and their communities with valid estimates of the prevalence of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use among their students, and (2) to provide the state of Indiana with similar estimates of prevalence on a statewide basis.
The survey is completely anonymous. It will be completed online, without any personally identifiable information that could be traced to an individual student.
While we strongly recommend that all sophomores and seniors participate, parents may opt out for their student by putting their request in writing and submitting it to Principal Rick Wagner by the end of the school day on February 24.
