Mr. Wagner's Letter
Greetings!
I have trouble sitting and enjoying athletic contests. That goes for any sport, from CYO through the professional ranks, but it applies particularly to big high school games. I was an assistant coach for two sports for several years, a head coach for four years, an athletic director for seven years, and now a principal for five years. I tend to be a bit uneasy as I wait for something to go wrong. I am always looking around to make sure the officials showed up; the coaches and athletes have arrived and once the game starts, are keeping their cool; no parent is getting too loud or using abusive language in their discontent with the officials; and the student section is being appropriate and representing their school well. From Mr. Kirkwood:
The guidance department will be making some changes in the way they divide the student assignments beginning next year. The current 8th grade students will be starting off under this new assignment next week and the current students will transition to this model beginning next year. Please be sure to read the guidance updates on Sunday to learn more about this restructuring effort.

GCFA Present: Leaving Iowa
The Guerin Catholic Fine Arts Alliance Presents the play "Leaving Iowa", a comedy about family vacations, by Tim Clue and Spike Manton. The spark behind Leaving Iowa comes from being children of parents from the now dubbed "greatest generation." The story is a toast to their idealism and character and a little roast of their undying dedication to the classic family road trip.
The play opens on Thursday, February 2nd at 7:00 p.m.. Tickets are $10 each and Guerin Catholic students are admitted free of charge with a valid school ID. The play continues on Friday, February 3rd, and closes with a final performance on Saturday, February 4th. All shows times are 7:00 pm.
