 Mr. Wagner's Letter
Educational theorists have their own vernacular. New words or phrases are coined as their research uncovers groundbreaking information as to how children learn. A phrase that permeates education currently, and has for the past 10-12 years, is 'differentiated learning.' This is the recognition that children process, construct, and manipulate ideas differently. In layman's terms, not all children learn the same way or at the same pace. (more...)

December Dad's Day
Last chance to RSVP for the December 9 Dad's Day Breakfast!! Our featured speaker will be our very own & very loved, Marcia Murphy---media specialist at Guerin Catholic!!
Due to the high volume of RSVP's already received, we will likely move this event to the gymnasium and will need an accurate count to order food, so please let Mrs. Dolan know TODAY if you are planning on attending!
Mrs. Murphy, our beloved Media Specialist, but even more beloved Guerin Catholic mother, lost her 22 year old son, and member of the first graduating class of Guerin Catholic, on October 11, after an all-too-short life, and a one month battle with cancer. Xavier was an OUTSTANDING young man, who had just graduated from Notre Dame, and a popular manager of the Fighting Irish's football team.
We all have lots to learn about life. Marcia has ALWAYS been wise beyond her years, and faithful beyond most of our comprehension. Please join us, and bring every one of your precious children, and enhance your relationships with your greatest treasures, for that fleeting time that they reside with us under our roofs.
Cost is $7/each with all proceeds being donated to the Xavier Murphy Scholarship Fund. RSVP today by contacting Cathy Dolan at Guerin Catholic High School.

Hockey
The road treated your hockey team cruelly last weekend. The Millers dropped three out of four non-league games in the Chiller Thanksgiving Classic in Columbus, Ohio. The bright spot of the weekend came with a 6-4 come from behind shootout victory against Wooster, Ohio. Guerin Catholic's Nick Bove snuffed all three attempted shots in the shootout with gutsy moves out of the pipes to seal the Miller victory!
Your team takes on Lakeshore St. Joe in an outdoor game in St. Joe, Michigan this Saturday afternoon (think of that when you are watching a football game in a warm and cozy family room), and an indoor game on Sunday afternoon at the new Notre Dame Compton Ice Arena. The following week they will return to town for a couple of games, so don't miss the action! Go to www.noblesvillehockeyclub.com for the complete schedule.
