Mr. Wagner's Letter

We took over 700 students, faculty, and staff into a neighborhood in Carmel to rake leaves on Tuesday. It was part of our Community Service Day. OK, we went to Mass together at Our Lady of Mount Carmel - that's a good thing. And we did fill over 1,000 bags with leaves, so we certainly worked hard. But
really,  Carmel?

Concordia Wind Orchestra & GoldenVoice
Listen live by clicking here then click on "Worship Live" and then on "Sanctuary"
This Saturday, November 19th at 7:00 p.m., the Concordia Wind Orchestra and GoldenVoice will present a concert at neighboring, Carmel Lutheran Church (4850 E. Main Street, Carmel, IN 46033 - at the corner of Gray Rd and E. Main). GoldenVoice will need to meet promptly at 5:45 p.m. just inside the main entrance. We need to sing through a few pieces with the wind orchestra so punctuality is key! Also, since we have students at NCYC, and football players playing in the Semi-State game, your attendance is beyond crucial for this event! All family and friends are invited and admission is FREE.

In preparation for this gig, please take your folders, with necessary music, and robes home on Friday, November 18th after school. We will be wearing Mass Day uniforms underneath our robes with dress shoes. Make sure also, to bring back your robe on its appropriate hanger and place it back neatly on the rack in the choir room storage closet. The robes are still looking great thanks to your attention to detail and the help of Mrs. Gallina - I mean, seriously, you RADIATE in those robes! Let's continue to keep them and ourselves looking sharp!

NYC Meeting for GoldenVoice and parents!!!
The informational meeting for the NYC Trip/Festival will take place on Tuesday, December 6th at 6:00 p.m. in the choir room. This meeting will provide an introduction to our fabulous travel company, Music Travel Inc. here in Indianapolis, trip itinerary, cost, and other details. Lots of excitement is guaranteed so please plan to attend!

NCYC Mass at SEAS
GoldenVoice, come as you are - preferably in jeans and spirit wear (to show our Guerin Catholic pride!). I know I just sent this out, but please arrive at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton by 10:30 p.m. so we can prepare to shake the pews! Also, we need a bassist, and electric/acoustic and straight-up electric guitarists. How are we going to do My Glorious??? I know it's going to be late, but OH - we're going to light this congregation UP!!! Parents, you're welcome to come and bring the siblings. And hey, if you play the "axe" - bring it! - - -

tuTechnology Updates
As our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Thailand enduring the recent flooding disaster, we would also like to share with you the latest
information we have in the midst of a technology industry-wide crisis.

Recent flooding in Thailand has disabled a significant portion of the world's production of some technology components, including hard disk
drives, cables, and semiconductors. With Thailand being one of the world's largest exporters of hard disk drives and home to many manufacturing plants,
supplies are likely to be constrained throughout the fourth quarter.

Currently we are working with our partners to gauge the impact to operations. In doing so, our team will be assessing the status of current and future repairs in places that could be affected.

The IT staff at Guerin Catholic will be working closely with Apple and our partners to ensure that repairs get performed as efficiently as possible.

Thank you for your understanding.  Please pray for those who are living with this disaster in Thailand.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact
Mr. Sandstrom.

Hockey

Your Guerin Catholic hockey team - the NHC Millers - finished the weekend with mixed results again last weekend.  The Millers fell 7-1 to the Hoosier League No. 1 ranked Carmel Gold team on Saturday night.  They hung with the Ice Hounds for two periods, going into the third period with a score of 3-1.  Andrew Eicher scored the only goal for NHC.  Nick Bove's performance in goal gave the Millers something to cheer about.  The official stats reported that he saved 46 shots although many at the game thought he saved closer to 60.

On Sunday NHC downed the Bloomington Blades 6-2 in a very physical game.  Guerin Catholic skaters contributed 5 goals - 4 by David Shingler and 1 by Andrew Eicher (who had a nice game in football in his spare time last weekend).  NHC remains in third place in the Hoosier league, behind Carmel Gold and South Stars Blue, with an overall record of 8-5-2.

Correction from last week's update:  Although the update reported that Jeff Hadden scored a goal against HSE B on Nov. 6, his son, Will Hadden, actually scored the goal.

On Saturday, Nov. 19, NHC takes on the South Stars Blue team at the Fishers Forum at 8:45 pm.  On Sunday, Nov. 20, NHC will meet Lawrence at 12:30 pm at the Forum.    Got to www.noblesvillehockeyclub.com for the complete schedule.  See you at the rink!
