 Mr. Wagner's Letter
Perhaps my perception is colored by growing older and becoming more reflective, but I've been noticing how easily people get angry. Listening to sports talk radio this last month has prompted me to think about this. I usually listen on my way home from school each evening. I am a big NFL fan and I like to stay current on injuries, predictions, good games on the schedule for the next Sunday, etc. Since the stations are local, invariably much of the talk is centered on our hometown Colts. Trimester #1 Finals We wrap up Trimester #1 on November 9-11. The schedule for these three days is found below. November 9 includes a regular rotation of classes, ending the day with a review for the final exam for Period 1. Note: The review periods are intended to allow time for students to ask some last minute questions, get clarification on a particular topic, look over already-studied notes, etc. Students should not think of this as their time to 'begin studying' for the final. It is a last minute brush-up before heading into the final. We have regular start and end times for school on November 9. Students will take three finals on November 10. The day begins at 8:05 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m. Students will take two finals on November 11. The day begins at 8:05 a.m. ends at 1:40 p.m. Mass is available to students at 7:30 a.m. on both November 10 and 11. Many students find going to Mass before finals to be a nice stress-relieving endeavor.
Family Directories The 2011-12 Guerin Catholic Family Directories are in and were distributed to each student during Kairos yesterday. Please be sure to ask your student for your copy. If your student was absent on Thursday, he/she can pick up the directory from Mrs. Chianello in the guidance office. Additional directories can be purchased in the business office for $5/each.
