Mr. Wagner's book, Remember What's Important, has arrived!!!! Come in to school beginning July 11 to purchase one or many! Each book is $15 and checks can be made payable to Guerin Catholic High School. Mr. Wagner is graciously donating a portion of the proceeds to Guerin Catholic's Tuition Assistance.

golf2011 Annual Golf Outing 

Recognized as one of the finest Golf outings in the area, we are hard at work preparing the 10th Annual Guerin Catholic Golf Outing which will take place on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Purgatory Golf Course.  Click here to download the flier complete with sponsor and participant information! fiveCarmel 5K for Haiti at SEAS

The race begins at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Carmel, Indiana, on Saturday, July 30th, 2011 8:00 am.

Registration is available online by clicking here or by completing the pdf here.

Pre-race registration is $20 through Wednesday, July 27.

Registration forms received after Wednesday, July 27, or on race day will be $22.

Race day registration is available at St. Elizabeth Seton beginning at 6:30 am on Saturday, July 30.

 
cuCatholic University at Guerin Catholic

Catholic University is a grassroots effort of priests, religious and laity affiliated with the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana to help Catholic rediscover the truth taught by the Catholic Church.  All sessions will be held at Guerin Catholic High School and there is no charge to attend. pgParent Guild Book/Uniform Sale 

Thank you to the numerous parent and student volunteers that made the Used Book and Uniform Sale such a success. Thank you also to the parent and student "customers" that were able to follow our "rules" and forms to make our jobs a little easier !

 

In the event your book was not at the sale OR you missed the sale completely, do not fear. The SECOND (and LAST) sale of the summer will be held on TUESDAY, July 19. The "Buy Back" of books will take place from 10am-1pm. The "Sale" of books will take place from 4-7pm. The location of the sale will be the ACADEMIC HALLWAY of the school. Please note the time and location of each event/procedure. If you would like to volunteer or have questions, please contact Jackie Mewborn jmewborn@indy.rr.com If you are wondering how to PRICE your books for the "Buy Back", consult the internet for used book prices. Note : Follett Books will NOT be buying back books on this day...Just Parent Guild!

Lucas Oil Fundraising Scheduled Trainings

Here is the updated list that has the trainings for the Summer to get all of our Parents/Students Trained.  Again, YOU MUST ATTEND A TRAINING SESSION TO WORK INSIDE THE BOOTH.  All with Liquor License must have the additional TIPS training (this is mandated by the state of Indiana) for you to be able to serve liquor.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mary Lynn Plocica - mjmp@aol.com, (317) 370-7721.

SetonFest

Need service hours? The SetonFest Committee at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish is in need of your help with setting up and tearing down for their annual SetonFest!! Help is needed setting up on Tuesday, July 26th starting at 9:30 a.m. unti finished.  Teardown help will be needed on Sunday, July 31st beginning at 9:00 a.m.

BASEBALL 2011 END OF SEASON ACCOLADES

 

MATT PLETZKE INDIANA ALL-STAR
Pitcher Matt Pletzke has been invited to play in the Indiana All-star Series July 8-10 in Ft. Wayne.  Matt is the fist player in school history to receive this highest of honors for Indiana High School Baseball.  Please visit www.IHSBCA.org

Matt was also named to the 1st team Indy Star All-North team; Noblesville Daily Times 1st Team Hamilton County; HCsportsdaily.com 1st Team Hamilton County, and IHSBCA All-State Honorable Mention. Congratulations Matt!!

 

TONY ZUNICA ACADEMIC ALL-STATE
Recent graduate Tony Zunica was named to the Indiana High School Baseball Academic All-State team.  Tony adds to a wonderful legacy of high academic achievement in the baseball program.  Tony, also the senior class valedictorian, will be attending Washington-St. Louis this fall and will be majoring in Biology and Music.

 

Tony was also named Noblesville Daily Times 1st Team Hamilton County; HCsportsdaily.com 1st Team; IHSBCA Honorable Mention All-State and Indy Star All-North Honorable Mention.

Gently worn GCHS uniforms and spirit wear are available free of charge to any GCHS family with financial need through the "Worn Again"  Clothes Closet.  We will set up a time for you to come by and see the great things we have to share with you.  All visits will be held in confidence.  Appointments can be made by contacting Barb Gallina via email at
