bdBlood Drive at St. Louis de Montfort

Come all to the Grace Kelly Leon Blood Drive hosted by the Knights of Columbus of Fishers and the Indiana Blood Center on Saturday, June 25th from 8:00am to 4:00pm in Craig Willy Hall at St Louis de Montfort. St Louis de Montfort is located in Fishers at 11441 Hague Road. Craig Willy Hall is on the left behind the Church.  Contact: Mark Glodowski at (317) 506-4759.

A good supply of blood is truly needed each day around Indiana to help those in need medically just like Grace Kelly. And it is these donations that give many people a fighting chance. It's in great honor that we dedicate this Blood Drive in Grace's name. Please consider in signing up today to give blood.

Grace Kelly Leon, a 12 year old seventh grader at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic School, has been diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma. She is the daughter of Brother Knight Jose and Audrey Leon, and her sister, Katrina, attends Guerin Catholic High School. The cancer is present in Grace Kelly's chest, stomach, pelvis, spleen and bones. Treatment for her specific case includes intensive chemotherapy and radiation therapy. On a positive note, the type of Hodgkins she has is accompanied by an 80% recovery rate, and Grace Kelly is a beautiful, strong young lady who is determined to do whatever is necessary to beat the cancer. tutrEnglish Tutoring Available This Summer

If your student needs additional help in reading comprehension and/or writing skills, Mary Lynne Voigt, English teacher and yearbook adviser, is offering tutoring this summer.  To help build confidence in approaching reading assignments and discerning information, comprehension work will help direct students to understand basic concepts and literary devices; critical analysis will also enable them to take literature to a deeper level of understanding.  Developing and mastering writing skills is also a major area of focus; those students who struggle with basic writing skills (sentence structure, punctuation) and organization and inspiration would find this opportunity beneficial.  If you are interested in pursuing tutoring for your student, please contact Mary Lynne Voigt at mvoigt@guerincatholic.org. (Times available will be from 8:30-11:30 Tuesday-Thursday throughout the summer.)
