The cross of Jesus stands at the center of our theology and our understanding of God's grace. On the cross, God demonstrated His love for sinners. It was Jesus who told His disciples to remember His sacrifice each time they ate the bread and drank the cup. Yesterday, Pastor Rob reminded us of the continuing importance of the Lord's Supper. Each time we participate in the Lord's Supper, we remember the cross of Christ.
The devotions this week serve to remind us of the cross. Take time to read each passage and write down any reminders or new insights. Ask God to deepen your understanding of what took place at the cross so you may more completely celebrate it when you take the Lord's Supper.

Sunday, we will focus on the ordinance of Baptism. Pray that your heart would be ready to receive the truth of God's Word. Also, pray for those being baptized this Sunday. Pray that God would use their testimonies and obedience as a witness of His saving grace.
