unchanging: Forgiveness of Sins
Daily Devotions for March 17-21

As we continue on our journey through the "unchanging" series, we are reminded of God's amazing forgiveness. Pastor Rob Rienow's message yesterday asserted the truth of Romans 5:8. "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." It was God's desire to redeem sinful humanity that caused Him to send Jesus to die for us. Mark 10:45 says, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give his life as a ransom for many." The rescue mission of Jesus was characterized by a servant's heart and culminated in the ultimate sacrifice. Yesterday, Palm Sunday, began the week of celebration and remembrance for Christ's followers. We recall Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, we remember His brutal death on Friday and we celebrate His glorious resurrection on Easter Sunday.

This week's devotions will be a bit different. We will be reading from the Gospel of John each day. While we won't read the entire book of John, each day's passage will highlight the events of the last days before Jesus was crucified. I encourage you to read each passage, prayerfully consider its truths and write down any insights you may discover. End each day with prayer asking God to help you remember and celebrate Christ's death and resurrection.
