2011 - Year of the Rabbit
 2010 was the year of the tiger. Tiger years are fierce. They are a time for courage and passion, and we saw evidence of this with strong conflicts abroad and at home. Fortunately, they are followed by the year of the rabbit that typifies a time of rest and recovery. The most successful people in 2011 will be those who embrace this. They will be able to calmly and successfully negotiate their way through any situation that arises. Acupuncture treatments can help. About Acupuncture & Acupressure
Acupuncture uses very fine needles to stimulate points on the body that promote healing. Acupressure is similar but does not use needles. Both can be used to relieve pain, reduce stress, improve circulation and relieve fatigue. Most importantly, acupuncture treatments feel great!
Because acupuncture effects the body on so many different levels, it can be used for a wide variety of issues. The World Health Organization recognizes acupuncture as an effective mode of treatment for chronic and acute pain. It is very effective for those suffering from injuries, headaches, neck and back pain, tendonitis, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, and fibromyalgia.
Some insurance companies do cover acupuncture. Please check with your plan for specific details. Acupuncture can also be paid for with a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

Jared West, LAc
Jared West L.Ac. (Licensed Acupuncturist) is a second generation acupuncturist. He received his formal training at the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, where he graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2008. He has been studying Chinese Medicine for over 15 years beginning with an apprenticeship to a Taoist monk in 1991. Jared now serves as President of the Ohio Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (OAAOM).
