New Resources for Families!

We are thrilled to announce a new program that will provide families with amazing resources for growth. You  may be familiar with our innovative Camp Insight program for children in the summer? We now offer a course that will provide the same wonderful programming for parents and families throughout the year!
Insight will launch Families Unlimited this winter with an exciting program for parents:
Dynamic Parenting
Simple solutions to create peace
and good health in your family
3-week course to empower parents
Create a stronger, healthier family with this powerful parent-coaching course. Parents will learn tactics to peacefully work through conflicts and create better communication between family members.
Dynamic Parenting will provide parents with new skills and support to strengthen their role as guide for their children. Similar to Camp Insight, we'll cover important topics such as how to instill important life skills and values with your children: honesty, gratitude, friendship and listening skills, respect and courage.
In a nutshell, the course gives parents new tools to create peace, harmony and good health in the household!
Interested? This course will meet on 3 consecutive Sundays in February beginning Feb. 12 from 2 - 5 pm. Babysitting may be available if needed. Call 216.765.4470 for more information and to sign up.

A is for Aromatherapy
...and ADD/ADHD
Has your child been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD?
Are you interested in more natural options?
Insight Wellness Center is conducting a clinical study to determine the impact of aromatherapy on the symptoms of ADD/ADHD.
Certain essential oils have long been documented to elicit a calming effect on children and adults. The naturally occurring chemicals within the oils used in aromatherapy may help an individual cope with ADD/ADHD.
Guided by a professional team including a psychologist, educator and essential oils specialist, children will take part in a 6-week course to study the effects that certain plant-based oils used in aromatherapy may have in lessening the symptoms.
Children must be between the ages of 7-10 and in grades 2-5. Must be diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. Study will run 6 weeks.
You will receive complimentary testing and oils.

Aromatherapy is the use of plant derived, aromatic essential oils to promote physical and psychological well-being.
Plant-based essential oils are known to have curative properties, such as the ability to arouse or calm the senses, sharpen mental acuity and prevent or treat diseases caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms. In most cases, Aromatherapists apply essential oils to the skin or through the nose by inhalation.

Camp Resumes in June!
It's not too early to start dreaming about warm weather and the return of summer days filled with camp. Camp Insight will return next June with more weeks to choose from! Dates will be announced soon.
Our 2010 season was such a success, we have extended the camp offerings to include additional weeks, more diverse programming and classes for parents.
What is Camp Insight?
 While immersed in fun activities, Camp Insight works with kids to develop important life skills such as confidence, patience, respect, friendship skills and how to make healthy choices.
Led by professional health practitioners, campers engage in a variety of activities around a central, daily theme such as friendship, leadership, courage or honesty. Campers ages six to 12 create their own art studio, enjoy music, learn yoga and Tae Kwon Do, take nature hikes and play challenge games.
