If so, perhaps the loving energy of Reiki can help. Reiki reduces stress, promotes a sense of peace and well-being, and enhances therapeutic and medical treatments.

The Insight Learning and Wellness Center is now offering a monthly Reiki Energy Circle for children with special needs and their families, on the third Sunday of every month from 3:45 - 5:45 p.m. This month's circle will be held on October 17, 2010.
A group of volunteer certified Reiki practitioners come together in a large circle and simultaneously send energy to your child and family in the center. This takes place in a supportive, respectful and soothing environment. This tends to be a very powerful experience for everyone involved due to the high amount of energy in the room.
Dr. Oz recently did a show on alternative medicine.

 Each scheduled family sessionlasts 15 - 30 minutes. You are welcome and encouraged to bring quiet toys, books, a favorite blanket or anything that might make your child feel comfortable and safe. Children are not required to sit still and you are welcome to interact with each other in whatever way you need to during the session.

 Please call aheadto register for a specific time and share some background information regarding your child, what issues you are currently working on, what you are most concerned with, and any progress that has occurred. This will be shared with the volunteers, and helps them gain rapport and know how the Reiki energy can help or has helped you.
