StateOrgans 106 US lawmakers signed a letter urging Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, to release information that she may have regarding the Communist Party's practice of forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience. The bi-partisan letter claims that the US Consulate in Sichuan may have obtained the information when the high-ranking police chief, Wang Lijun, fled there in February, 2012, seeking refuge from one-time friend and ally, Bo Xilai, the fallen Party Secretary from Chongqing.

World's Tallest Building Underway 

     
Tallest-Building When completed, the 220-story building will have 17 helipads, schools, a hospital and apartments for 30,000 people. An ardent environmentalist, CEO Zhang Yue wants the building done in seven months, and is using a building technique with pre-fabricated building blocks, similar to Legos.

Self-Immolations a "State Secret" 

     
self-immolation Two more self-immolators died this week protesting the Chinese Communist Party's treatment of Tibetans, bringing the total number to 53. Four Tibetans, two teenagers and two in their early 20's, were given prison sentences for spreading word of the protests. Convicted of "revealing state secrets," prison sentences ranged from seven to eleven years.
