Gu Kailai, the wife of Bo Xilai, the disgraced Politburo member, was sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve. In actuality such sentences usually mean 10-15 years in prison, providing she does not commit any offences in the next two years. Many analysts predicted the sentence, suggesting it was the safest for Party stability going into the 18th Congress later this year.
But many netizens are fueling speculation that there is a much bigger crime being covered up. Both Gu and Bo may have had strong ties to China's black-market body trade.
