That the Chinese Communist Party sends spies abroad is hardly surprising. But spying on a Chinese dance competition is. Evidence of the would-be dancer-spy emerged last week.
Since launching the International Chinese Dance Competition in 2007, NTD organizers have had to contend with efforts by the CCP to disrupt, or cancel all together, the competition. This year was no different. Evidence surfaced in early July that China's secret police organ ordered potential contestants from Chinese dance academies to not attend the competition. However, a would-be spy from Hong Kong was given the green light, at least until a strange email blew his cover.
