What's on?

On May 19, 2012, NTD's camera crew accompanied Chen Guangcheng's journey from John F. Kennedy International Airport to New York University. NTD was the only Chinese media outlet that provided live coverage of Chen's arrival in New York. NTD was the first to break the news of Chen Guangcheng's daring escape to the world. On April 26th, NTD News interviewed Chen's nephew, Chen Kegui, in Shangdong, and confirmed that his uncle was no longer held in captivity in his own house. iNTD

NTD's extensive coverage of the latest political turmoil in China has significantly increased its popularity amongst Chinese viewers. Since February, NTD's website traffic has increased by 700% and its live call-in programs such as FOCUS TALK has been receiving a historic number of calls from Chinese audience members around the world.

As an independent Chinese media headquartered in New York, NTD is a preeminent source of unfiltered, timely news about China, and offers its viewers in the Western world accurate and insightful analyses of the latest developments in China.
Free China ImageAfter winning the top award in the "International Political and Cultural Documentaries" category at the Awareness Film Festival in West Hollywood, the film "Free China: The Courage to Believe" took the grand prize at the American Insights' inaugural Free Speech Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 16th at the Benjamin Franklin Hall in Philadelphia. This timely documentary film sheds light on the connections between China's widespread human rights violations, its systemic unfair trade practices, and state-sanctioned organ harvesting for profit. Its compelling story-telling continues to win over critics and audiences. Free China was directed by Michael Perlman, award-winning director of "Tibet-Beyond Fear", and produced by NTD's very own news anchor Kean Wong.
On May 17th, NTD and Ebony Marketing Systems held a half-day conference on "Unlocking the Secrets to Marketing to the Chinese Market". In attendance was an avid audience of marketing professionals ranging from Fortune 500 companies to top advertising agencies. The event introduced the key elements to the Chinese market both in the United States and in China, what made the Chinese ethnic market so coveted by comparison to other ethnic markets, and how to effectively target them through advertising with in-language media. Seminar

The conference is the first of several to be held during the course of 2012 as NTD ever more solidifies its position as the bridge to the Chinese community here in the US, around the world, and in China.
