e*Star Power

yingying

Enjoying the reputation as the prettiest show host on NTDTV, the glamorous and perky Yingying Zhang has built a loyal international following for e*Star. As NTDTV's original lifestyle and entertainment program, e*Star broke new ground with its ability to introduce Western entertainers to Asian audiences, and broadening the notoriety of Asian celebrities outside of Asia. With Korean pop culture in ascension over the past few years, e*Star connected icons like Rain and Wonder Girls to their Chinese-speaking fan base all over the world through exclusive interviews. Conducted in Chinese with English subtitles, these interviews became a Chinese learning program for many dedicated fans of these pop icons!

When it comes to fashion, music, and movie, Yingying has also become the arbiter of what's cool. New Chinese immigrants to the West look to her for advice in order to assimilate into mainstream society. Ever at the cutting edge of media, Yingying has created an integrated content between the e*Star TV show and a weekly e*Star page in The Epoch Times newspaper. Airing seven times a week with new episodes coming out on Wednesdays and Saturdays, tune in to catch the beautiful Yingying on e*Star!

healthexpo

Having its world headquarters in the great city of New York, NTD holds many community events to benefit Chinese immigrants in the New York metropolitan area.

On Saturday, May 22, Flushing Mall bustled with visitors to the 2010 NTD Health Expo. Over 20 vendors - ranging from traditional Chinese medicine to modern Western medicine - were present to provide free samples and health seminars. Visitors were treated to presentations such as a talk on the latest cancer immunotherapy by Daniel Yuan of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Chinese medicine's approach to fertility and post-natal care by Dr. Baili Lin of Flushing, and secrets to longevity by 102-year-old Mrs. Wang.

Nearly 1,000 people visited the six-hour event held at the popular mall. Many walked away with giveaways and prizes from a raffle. Keep your eyes peeled in 2010 for legal and education fairs as well!
