NACCHO's HIV/STI Prevention "Tool of the Week"                                      This week's tool from NACCHO's Toolbox is a Client Rights and Responsibilities Form, from the Oregon Health and Science University, which can be used as a template for defining the rights and responsibilites of patients participating in prevention programs.
Training for Male-focused young man close upAdolescent Pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and STD Prevention Program Available
Training for Wise Guys, an adolescent pregnancy, HIV/AIDS and STD prevention program for young men, will be held April 2-3, 2009 in Myrtle Beach, SC. This program, which seeks to address young men's perceptions of sexuality and masculinity and promote male responsibility, is designed to be implemented by educators, healthcare workers, mentors, coaches, and counselors who instruct or supervise adolescent males. The 2007 National School Climate Survey: The Experiences of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Youth in Our Nation's Schools
The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network has released its National School Climate Survey, which documents the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth in schools. This compendium, which profiles instances of violence, harassment and absenteeism related to gender identity or sexual orientation, provides detailed information about the experiences of LGBT students in the U.S.  To access this document, click here.

National American Indian AIDS Summit 
The National American Indian AIDS Summit, which will be held July 14-15, 2009 in Rochester, NY, will attempt to find better health care delivery systems in diverse settings in HIV/AIDS prevention and education for the Native American Indian community.
