collaborationNACCHO Peer Technical Advisor Opportunity -- Deadline Extended to Wednesday, October 29 at 5:00 PM EDT.
NACCHO is developing a network of local health department (LHD) peer technical advisors to provide technical assistance to local health departments (LHDs) to improve their capacity to develop or enhance HIV, STI and/or unintended pregnancy prevention programs. This opportunity will allow peer technical advisors to share their expertise, experience, and knowledge with other LHDs interested in establishing or improving similar programs. For more information and to apply, click here.
NACCHO's HIV/STI Prevention "Tool of the Week"                                      This week's tool from NACCHO's Toolbox is a Parent-Adolescent Communication about Sex in Latino Families: A Guide for Practitioners. This guide, from the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, features tips to help medical providers improve communication in Latino families about adolescent sexual health.
Job Opportunity: NASTAD Viral Hepatitis Associate
The National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD) is seeking an Associate for Viral Hepatitis programs. The person in this position will work in conjunction with the Viral Hepatitis Manager on NASTAD's Viral Hepatitis Networking, Education and Training cooperative agreement with CDC as well as provide support to projects working with State Adult Viral Hepatitis Coordinators. This position will require intensive work tracking and monitoring federal budget appropriations. For more information and to apply, click here.
