Notes like this one remind us why we started blogging in the first place. When we first got our blog up and running almost three and a half years ago, we thought it would be a great way to connect with our customers. We soon realized it was a lot more than that. Our little blog and companion newsletter have paved the way for how we think about the future of Hammertown. As always, we take great pride in creating a beautiful space for our customers to engage in the process of creating and loving their homes. But what our newsletter has shown us is that, both in and outside the walls of our homes, many of us are seeking a community in which we can learn, grow and thrive.
As we enter the New Year, everyone here at Hammertown would like to express our thanks both to our customers and to our partners in the Hudson Valley community. As we are all well aware, the last 2 years have seen some dramatic shifts in our economic underpinnings. While much of the talk is devoted to the big banks and bankers that failed to keep themselves in line, the boots on the ground are the small businesses, entrepreneurs and everyday people that make our economy tick. Over the next few weeks, we'll be taking a moment to acknowledge and publicly thank some of the businesses and individuals that helped to make Hammertown's 2010 rich with community, collaboration and camaraderie.
We will also be rolling out some exciting new features on our website, all geared toward creating a greater sense of community and connection with our customers and neighbors. And, we're inviting you to take part, so please, stay tuned!
