Friend to all at Hammertown, Abby Osofsky - Golden Retriever,
Good Dog, Best Friend - passed away on Saturday morning.
She was 10
years old.
Known for her assertive nose and bounding enthusiasm, it was her good
nature and stoicism that proved most remarkable in her final weeks and
months. Although cancer had been growing for some time, Abby didn't
miss a beat, not letting on that anything was wrong until the very end.
By this time, however, nothing could be done. We will all miss her
dearly.

Under the Tuscan Sun (and Moon) - A Beautiful Destination Wedding
 A few weeks ago, my dear friends Rosey and Barry Chase, traveled to
Tuscany for their nephew's wedding. A "destination" wedding in Tuscany.
It sounded fabulous...and, indeed it was! After seeing the photos from

A Report from Cody's Coop
 As promised, we've got an update from Cody and Mike McCarthy's father-son summer project: raising chickens!
His mom, Michele, said Cody's loving this project. "He's up at the
crack of dawn for feeding...sometimes he can't even wait to get all of
his clothes on. He sits out there with the birds in the coop talking
to them and feeding them from his hands...they love him!"

Hammertown Garden: If you build it "they" will come!
It seems that everywhere you look there "they" are - the weeds. In the
garden, pathways, rock walls, the parking lot, you name it they grow
there.
But sometimes weeds are not weeds at all but plants that have spread or
reseeded in the garden. Still, they're not supposed to be there so
they must come out.
