in Mexico. It is a Pacific paradise of beautiful beaches, friendly
people and a simple, easy going lifestyle...and not a high-rise building
in sight. It's beautiful, unpretentious and reasonable - one of the most relaxing

We've just got to brag about one of our very first Hammertown Choices -- The Amazing Real Live Food Co.
Peter Destler and Rory Chase were just profiled by Dan Shaw at Rural Intelligence (another Hammertown Choice). The story is so thoughtful and wonderfully written. It makes me especially proud of these two young men from Pine Plains who I've known since they were kids. Now they're extraordinary cheese-makers.

Hammertown Garden Update: Our Wattle Fencing is Ready!

I received a phone call from Israel Fitch at Battle Hill Forge, and the wattle fencing is ready.
Our garden is now going to take on its new form and we are so
excited. It was so nice to find this great fencing and be able to
have it made to our specifications.

by the fresh ingredients she found at the Mercado Central in my new
favorite beach vacation spot: Zihua (nickname for Zihuatanejo),
Mexico. Apparently, she loves Zihua too!
