At Rocky Reef you can pick your own pumpkins (so bring the kids!) or
buy them from the stand along with gourds and Indian corn. It's the
honor system with a cash box right there.
Even though it's a good pumpkin crop this year, with the recent cold weather
(and more to come) it would probably be a good idea to get your

 THIS WEEK'S RECIPE: SWISS CHARD TART ( (Pasticcio di Bietole al Forno from Mario Batali)
My friends, Mary & Bonnie, threw a little dinner party for me
for my birthday a couple months ago. This Swiss Chard Tart was served
as an accompaniment to Grilled Pork Tenderloin. It was delicious and I was happy to
learn the recipe was from Hammertown friend, Mario Batali.

(from Dana) Having lived in Garrison for a few years now, I have had the pleasure
of meeting many artists who call this area home. One of them is
painter, Julie Tooth. My first experience with one of her paintings was at a friend's house
and I was immediately drawn to the work. Although small in size, the
painting was compelling. The repetitive shapes and subtle colors were
