- This advance screening benefits three of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation's local area funds: the Fund for Columbia County, Northeast Dutchess Fund and CT's Northwest Corner Fund -- for those who sometimes need a little help from their friends!
- "Taking Woodstock" was filmed at Lone Pine Farm on Route 22 in Millerton and in various parts of Columbia County.

HAMMERTOWN RHINEBECK is excited to welcome nationally known silhouette artist, Clay Rice, to Rhinebeck on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17.
 I've always been fascinated by this art form from a design aspect. And now, like so many things from our past (think Woodstock), Silhouette Art is "hot" again. Vintage is in, style is in and silhouettes have both, and we have Clay Rice: a third-generation silhouette artist from South Carolina with an impressive and broad span of work. Clay is the best in his field and he only travels to the finest shops and independent bookstores in the country so we're very proud to have him!
He will be creating silhouettes of your child or family from 10am - 3pm by appointment only. Please call the Hammertown Rhinebeck Store at 845.876.1450 to make an appointment. My friend, Bonnie Hundt (of Hylton-Hundt Salon), makes this version of her mother's soup recipe every summer when her garden is overflowing with more string beans than she knows what to do with. Even with tomato and potato blight striking most gardens in our area this year, so far the string beans (and her potatoes) have survived. Click here for the recipe.
