Request For Proposal: Speakers & Outfitters for Sisters in Steamboat Weekend
The second annual Sisters in Steamboat Weekend is scheduled for October 15-17, 2010. Mainstreet Steamboat is looking for different types of engaging speakers from artists to authors, photographers, nutritionists, athletes, and other individuals and businesses with a passion or activity to share with our guests during this weekend including, but not limited to: interactive workshops, demonstrations, and inspiring lectures, tours, hikes, rides, etc.
To participate as a Speaker or Outfitter as part of the Enrichment Programs, please email Tracy Barnet
 

The Routt County Mass Choir Spring Concert will be held Wednesday, April 14, at 7 pm at the Steamboat Springs High School.The Yampa Valley Singers, Steamboat Chamber Singers and the Steamboat Springs High School Chorus will perform various works, including Schubert's Mass in G (sung together by all three choirs -- about 50 people), Mozart's Ave Verum, and several contemporary pieces. Several string musicians from the Steamboat Symphony will accompany the Schubert and Mozart works. $10 general admission/$6 students. The American Cancer Society Steamboat Relay for Life fundraising event is a life-changing experience that gives everyone in the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against cancer.  Anyone can participate in Relay for Life. Friends, families, neighbors, classmates, sports teams, etc., can form their own teams.  No matter who you are, there's a place for you at Relay!   Get a group together, form a team, come out and walk, camp out and enjoy all the fun! The event will be held July 23rd beginning at 6:00pm - July 24th closing ceremony at 9 am at the High School.  If you would like to be a sponsor or volunteer to help with the event please contact Susan McIntosh 879-8831 or Lisa Lancaster 846-1443.
