Kindermusik by Miss Jen

Kindermusik is a child-centered music and movement program for children aging from babies (even newborns) to age 5 years. The programs incorporate music, movement and language activities to encourage growth and stimulation in five areas of child development which include social, emotional, physical, cognitive and, of course, the fundamentals of musical development.  Steady beat, listening practices, interval explorations are all deliberate and based on research.  All of these developmental benefits are camouflaged in a fun, non-competitive setting. Semesters are structured in 8 to 15 once-per-week sessions divided into developmentally appropriate curriculum groupings.  See the link for class descriptions on the website www.mountainsofmusik.com for more information on how classes are divided and content descriptions.  Each class builds upon the prior, with just enough repetition and reinforcement to build comfort and confidence and yet introducing new themes and practice opportunities all along the way.
