Winter Carnival
The 97th Winter Carnival celebration includes a variety of events that embrace our western heritage and highlight Steamboat's tradition of winter sports. The festivities include such events as: Ski Jumping competitions, a Snowboarding Jam Session, the Soda Pop Slalom, a Tubing Party, the Diamond Hitch Parade which includes the High School band on skis, the Street Events on Lincoln Avenue, and the Night Extravaganza at Howelsen Hill with a brilliant fireworks display and the famous Lighted Man.

Free Tax Seminars
The City of Steamboat Springs Sales and Use Tax Department offers free sales tax and construction use tax seminars. The sales tax and construction use tax seminars provide tax information for all types of businesses or people, including retailers, contractors, rental businesses, accommodations providers, home-based businesses, and their accountants and bookkeepers. The sales tax seminar is designed to address sales tax processes, and City staff will be available to answer questions specific to your business or industry. The construction use tax seminar addresses the construction use tax requirements and the use tax reconciliation process.

Sales Tax Seminar: Tuesday, March 9th from 10-11:30 a.m.

The set-up crew helps from 6:30a.m.-8:30a.m. and the break down crew helps from 11:30a.m.-1p.m. Additionally, we have a few spots open to help with check-in and the relay events.
