Pumpkin Butter
So Easy Pie
Those of you who have seen us at craft fairs know that Celtic Chairde also carries a unique selection of Jams and Jellies. These are only available at craft shows. We make this recipe with either Samhain Pumpkin Butter, Carmel Spiced Apple Butter, or So Sweet Pumpkin Butter - but any thick pumpkin or fruit butter will work.
Ingredients:
1 4 to 8 oz jar of your favorite fruit butter (the thicker the better)
1 Instant graham cracker or chocolate pie crust
1 box of either vanilla, cheesecake or butterscotch instant pudding and pie filling
1 small container of Cool Whip
Directions:
Make the pudding according to the pie directions on the package.
Fold in the jar of pumpkin or fruit butter.
Next fold in the cool whip.
Pour into the pie crust and chill for two hours.
Yep - it's that fast, easy and good!

 The Happiness of Honey...
Bees are amazing little creatures. It always makes me happy to see them buzzing around my garden, investigating all the flowers. They do so much for us, too. They pollinate our plants, giving us fruits and vegetables. The wax from hives has a myriad of uses, including use in candles and skin care products. And of course, there's honey. 5 Quick Ways to Make the
Holidays Easier
This season can drive everyone just a little mad, despite the pleasures that it can bring. Here are a few quick pointers to make your holidays truly happy.
- Remember to laugh. Laughter lightens your heart and brightens your day. Watch a favorite sit com or movie, or read your favorite comics. And most importantly remember to laugh at the silly things life brings your way.
- Have a little scents. I always carry my favorite
 scent around with me (usually it's orange & ginger). Whether lavender casts its relaxing spell on you, or apple makes your day, a favorite scent will help lift your spirit on a moments notice. - Help someone else. Donate to a charity, or give some time to an elderly neighbor, or help a stressed out mom with a newborn by picking up some groceries for her. Little things to matter and they help you focus on the truly important things in life.
- Get a little exercise. And doing laps in the mall doesn't really count. Pull out that yoga tape, or dance to your favorite song, but a little exercise helps burn away tension. And it helps burn those holiday cookie calories, too!
- Don't expect perfection. Perfection may be something to strive for - but not to the point of misery. Imperfections are what make life interesting - so accept them and just enjoy your self.
