Description: The Colorado Charter Schools Conference is an opportunity to connect with, and learn from, charter school colleagues, peers, and experts both nationally and from Colorado. Guided Discipline Institute Five Part Training Series Dates: Five dates/locations (See below) Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Cost: League members: $175 per person per session | Non-members: $225 per person per session. Audience: School leaders, teachers, counselors Description: The five part Guided Discipline Institute focuses on Climate, Discipline and Behavior Supports and allows participants to gain the skills and understandings to be able to build a cohesive, high-performing group of learners by norming the classroom; implementing disciplinary practices to reduce classroom disruptions; modeling, teaching, practicing and assessing habits of learning self-discipline in the classroom. The event will feature three nationally known keynoters, as well as over fifty breakout sessions. Over 400 teachers from around the state converge on Denver to train in the latest classroom techniques. Customized School Improvement Planning Support In order to best support schools in effectively using Colorado Growth Model data, the School Performance Framework, and the new Unified Improvement Planning template, the League is offering customized school improvement planning services and training. Support may include on-site training, data analysis, and facilitation of the improvement planning process, according to the criteria set forth by the Colorado Department of Education.
Cost: Varies: On-site, Single School Training: Half day - $650; Full day - $1,000.

Galileo K-12 Online IIS and its Comprehensive Assessment System: Supporting Colorado Educational Initiatives

Description: Learn about the expanded and integrated array of assessment tools which comprise Assessment Technology Incorporated's (ATI) next generation comprehensive assessment system. The system is a part of the Galileo K-12 Online Instructional Improvement System (IIS). The seminar will provide an overview of Galileo's next generation comprehensive assessments including locally customized interim benchmark assessments, formative assessments, standards-aligned pretests and posttests, final course and summative assessments, test arrays, dialogic assessments, computerized multi-stage adaptive tests, and ASK technology for using assessments initially built outside Galileo.

Bond Covenant Compliance Seminar for Moral Obligation Borrowers

Audience: School Executives, Chief Financial Officers/Business Managers, Treasurers and Board Members Description: Every charter school that has borrowed through the State's Moral Obligation Bond Program has a special responsibility to understand and comply with the various covenants of the bond documents. The League and CECFA are teaming up to provide an important training session especially designed for moral obligation borrowers. Lawyers, trustees and your colleagues will walk you through the bond requirements - and practical ways to set up the systems you need to meet your responsibilities. Custom Performance Management Training for Boards
This training is customized in advance to best meet each school's individual needs. These trainings are delivered to individual school boards.
Cost: $600. This training has been pre-approved by CDE and is automatically funded if included in Start Up and Implementation grants.
Description: This half-day training is available for charter school board members to learn more about their role in monitoring the academic program and results at the school. This is a customized training that will provide boards with tools and resources to assist in the role of appropriate oversight and evaluation. The focus of this session is on understanding student performance data, key questions board members should know how to answer, and how boards can establish sound practices in providing academic performance oversight and monitoring. Other topics typically included are key school performance expectations and measures as well as state and authorizer performance expectations and measures.

Online Board Training Modules
Fifteen Hours of Training (can be completed incrementally over time)

Description: This learning platform developed by the Colorado Department of Education's Schools of Choice Unit, the Colorado League of Charter Schools, and The Colorado Charter School Institute offers 30 learning modules that cover a comprehensive set of topics related to charter school governance and oversight. Board members can access these modules "on demand" -- progress during each online session is saved and the platform can be accessed at anytime. Once all of the modules are complete, a downloadable customized certificate is generated as evidence of completing the training series. These modules are a great precursor to the League's customized governance trainings designed for whole boards.

| Host a Training and Earn Free Registration |
The League is looking for schools willing to host training sessions in Denver, North Metro, Colorado Springs and on the Western Slope. Hosting schools will receive two complimentary reservations to the trainings and can select a date that works best for them. Computer labs are not needed for some of the training sessions and ideally host schools would have space to accommodate 30-40 individuals.
