Kingswood United Methodist Women Bequest to Support Mission Giving!
Kingswood United Methodist Women of the Winston-Salem District recently received a bequest from the estate of Paul Hepler in memory of his wife, Margaret. Paul and Margaret Hepler were very supportive of their church and the organizations of United Methodist Women and United Methodist Men during their lifetime. In keeping with the guidelines suggested in the UMW Financial Handbook, Kingswood's United Methodist Women voted to give 60 percent of the bequest to Mission Giving as a Gift in Memory for Paul and Margaret Hepler. A check in the amount of $11,396.06 was presented to Sandy Letchworth, Winston-Salem District President, on November 12.
The Conference UMW and the Winston-Salem District deeply appreciate the generosity of Kingswood's UMW. This gift will reach around the world to enrich the lives of women, children, and youth, something that would surely please Paul and Margaret Hepler.

Every dollar helps to make mission possible. At this time of year, local units make many year-end gifts to mission projects as they empty their treasury. Please remember that Mission Giving is the single largest source of income to support UMW projects all around the world. Reminder: Local units treasurers should send their quarterly remittances to their District Treasurer by December 1.
Gifts may also be given through the end of the year to the Conference Love Offering, which is a Gift to Mission celebrating Mission Giving to promote World Peace. You may send checks made payable to WNCC UMW to Sharon Smith, PO Box 903, Marion, NC 28752-0903.
