Child Development Associate Scholarships Available
Deadline Friday, July 31
It's not too late to apply for Camp Fire USA's Child Development Associate (CDA) scholarship. The CDA program prepares candidates for the CDA Assessment. The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition ($550) for enrollment in Camp Fire's CDA course this fall.

Extreme Caution Urged to Prevent Child Drownings
The Texas Department of Family and Protective  Services  has issued an urgent warning to parents and caregivers regarding child safety.  As of July 24, 76 children have drowned in Texas, the majority being toddlers.  Read the news release.

Child Care Licensing Seeks Parent Input
The Department of Family and Protective ServicesDFPS is looking for feedback on how parents select child care programs, as well as their experiences in looking for and using child care. Deadline for participating in the survey is August 31, 2009.
