I love being a part of making history, I just wish it would quit hitting on the weekend.  Due to the storm, Sunday activities have been cancelled.

While this storm has disrupted a lot of people's plans, it also offers some wonderful opportunities.  Ephesians 5:16 tells us to "make the most of every opportunity you have for doing good."  Here are some ideas for doing that:
  • Help a neighbor shovel some snow. Especially a single mom and the elderly.
  • Take the time to call, text, or Facebook someone to let them know how much they mean to you.
  • Invite some of your neighbors over for dinner or volunteer to watch their kids so they can have a break.
  • While your baking cookies and making chilli, make double and surprise a neighbor.
  • If you have a four wheel drive, volunteer to help one of the many organizations that need help.  FACETS still needs help getting staff and volunteers to the hypothermia shelters.

I'm sure you can come up with more ideas.  When we decide to follow the ways of Christ, He will show us all kinds of ways to love and serve others and give them a taste of God's love and concern for them.

Hang in there!
