Rabbi Dr. Meir Soloveichik, director of Yeshiva University's Zahava and Moshael Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought, will serve as visiting scholar at Congregation Beth Sholom, 390 Broadway, Lawrence, New York, on Shabbat Parshat Lech Lecha, November 4-5. On Friday night at 8 p.m., Rabbi Soloveichik will speak on the topic of "Margaret Thacher and Lord Jakobovits vs. The Church of England." Shabbat morning, following davening, he will give the drasha on "Yiddish: Metaphysics of a Mameloshn" and Shabbat afternoon, between Mincha and Maariv, he will discuss "Adams and Jefferson on the Jews: A Thanksgiving Reflection" For more information on this event contact Julie Schreier at Julie.Schreier@yu.edu.

We address the component of Tefilah when we say Tehilim for those who are ill on our Aviva Aryeh, AH Tehilim list. We address the component of Teshuvah, when we reach out to others in positiive way that is Mikadesh Shame Shamayim, that sanctifies G-d's name, and brings unity to our fellow Jews. We repent for Sinat Chinam/baseless hatred that destroyed our temple. We do this as part of our Sarit Marton, AH Ahavas Yisrael Initiative.
