Tefillos for Rav Elyashiv shlita....message from Agudath Israel
As you may have heard, Maran HaRav Yosef Elyashev, shlita, will be undergoing a procedure this coming Sunday evening (Yerushalayim time) to repair a valve which was operated on some 7 years ago. The doctor from the United States who performed the operation at that time is on his way to Eretz Yisroel to perform the procedure on Sunday.
Let us all be mispallel for a refuah sheleimoh b'korov for Yosef Sholom ben Chaya Musha, and may we hear only besoros tovos.

RE: MICHA HAUSMAN
Unfortunately, information about this missing boy was disseminated in a variety of Jewish sources and was filled with inaccuracies. This boy never was a student in the Yeshiva Gedolah of the Five Towns in any capacity. The Yeshiva and its hanhala, having seen and spoken to him in recent days, have been doing everything in their power, together with the wonderful chesed organizations in the community, to locate and put him into a safe situation. Although the exposure of his picture has been helpful, the inaccurate reporting of the facts has made locating him and securing his safety that much harder. He was last spotted Thursday morning June 16th wandering Penn Station. If you see him please immediately contact Achiezer at 516.791.4444 or 516.993.0430 His name is Micha ben Chava, your tefillos would be helpful. Hi Marla,
I received the care package earlier today. It only took about 6 days to get here; incredibly quick; maybe the package got a ride with El Al.
Thank you so much for the care package. I have already placed the Chalot in the freezer in my office. I will defrost some prior to each Friday night service. We only have a small group here so it should last us for quite a few weeks. I will also bring the candies, etc to service on Friday night to distribute. I hope you are having a good weekend. Shabbat Shalom to you and your family,
Joel
SFC Beder, Joel D HSC 640th ASB / SASMO BLDG 123 Camp Taji, Iraq WENDY RUNGE TALKS TO THEFIVETOWNS.COM Dena, Please, please thank Suri for me. I plead guilty to one count of felony fraud for "causing the modification of an application that I filed for the purpose of obtaining economic assistance on a future project". I did that...with all the assurance in the world from state officials that this was standard procedure. Budgets change, FEIN change...these things are made to be modified until they go to contract. In court we demonstrated: - The modification was done with the specific approval of the State Film Commissioner
- His boss' boss' boss' boss' (the deputy director of the department of economic development) signed the final contract, signifying approval for all previous modifications...and he admitted under oath that he "Rubber stamped" everything without review.
- My attorneys verified that the State Film Commissioner WAS the word of law on this process
- No money ever changed hands...I was never paid to file the application, the application does not cause funds to drop down (only the final project financial report), nor did any one else make a single dollar from the State for this project, although we invested thousands of dollars to prepare
At the time I asked the Film Commissioner for permission to make a few significant modifications, I have evidence (that we were not allowed to present in court) of transcripts from an injunction hearing where other producers recalled the same permission for their projects. The transcript was not allowed to be entered as evidence -- even though the SAME DEPUTY AG who cross examined the other producer was prosecuting me -- because the Judge ruled it "unrelated".
How do you hit brick walls constantly...and have a chance. This is a system, but it aint justice. It comes down to this...I owned $84M worth of contracts and approved applications and when they shut down the program they didn't want to pay me. I admitted that I asked for the modifications because I admitted, now that they tell me it was wrong, that I did it. Never, ever did I deny that. But every one approved. BUT THIS NEVER CAME FROM ME! Suri's analogy is terrific. Get to an intersection, the light is red...you stop. A police officer is standing in the middle and waves you through. Another police officer is at the other side and stops you to give you a ticket. You say, "But officer, that police man in the intersection told me to go through." He answers, as he hands you the ticket, "That officer wasn't authorized to do so." In that intersection...with your attorney in the car...how do you know??? IK didn't. Or they decided that it wasn't ok, later. Whatever. Djemaniuk was proven to murder 28,000 Jews, and he received a 5 year sentence. I got 10 years. Justice? Only in shemayim. Keep a spot at the Kottel for me and my family. We're coming... Have a beautiful Shabbos!

The Avraham Yonah Reading Group
There are many people in our community who are home bound or for various reasons cannot get out often and seldom have visitors. The Avraham Yonah Reading Group is a volunteer group consisting mostly of women, who go to these peoples homes and read to them. It gives these individuals an opportunity to make friends, have consistent visitors and know that others care about them.
The organization is intended to help people who are home bound, elderly, ill and in treatment or anyone else who may benefit from this service. Volunteers will visit the individuals home for approximately 1/2 - 1 hour, and will either read a book, learn Torah, play a game or just talk with the person depending on their preference. There will be a different volunteer going each day of the week, depending on how many days are requested by the person in need. It is hoped that each volunteer will continue to visit on the same day of every week.
If you know of anyone who could benefit from this service, please contact us.
We hope you will be interested in volunteering to be a part of this wonderful chessed and join us in reaching out to our friends and neighbors who are in need and hopefully making a difference in their lives.
