Friends and neighbors,

Wendy Runge, a sister of a local FT-FR woman and a frum mother of four from Minneapolis, has been aggressively prosecuted by the State of Iowa (remember Rubashkin?).

In an attempt to work with the prosecution, she accepted a plea-bargain -- which is agreeing to accept guilt on the condition of reduced punishment. Although the prosecution agreed not to pursue punishment, the judge sentenced her to up to ten years in prison!

This is not the place to discuss all of the relevant details -- but understand that her window of opportunity to file an appeal is only two short weeks more -- if she cannot afford to appeal she must immediately enter the women's medium security prison in Iowa for up to ten years -- no tznius, no kosher, no Shabbos == not the place for a frum Jewish woman, no matter what.

Please open your heart and your checkbook during this admittedly difficult financial period. Thank you and may HaShem bestow his brachos on you and your family.

When Sarit, ah, became ill, her parents were approached to host a group of women who would answer Amen to each other's brachot for morning prayers.

When asked about her thoughts on this initiative, Sarit, ah, answered that she thought it was a great opportunity to Mezakeh Rabim, to encourage others to do mitzvoth. Hundreds of women pass through the Marton home each week, THE OHEL SARAH AMEN GROUP, to answer Amen to brachot and absorb wonderful classes/shiurim to raise the neshama of this wonderful girl, Sarit Marton, ah.
