Lovely Reader,
Televenge Launch Party
Televenge Launch Party at The Harmon House in Kernersville, NC

In relationships, we've all had that moment when we wondered if we were losing our partner to a new obsession--usually another romance. But what would you do if you were losing the love of your life to religion? What kind of person complains that their partner is too religious, too good, to self-sacrificing?

But religion isn't always what it appears to be. People can be blind to all the shortcomings, sins, even crimes committed in the name of faith. Would you be strong enough to escape this twisted version of faith and convince your lover to come with you? Televenge weaves this wild tale of Andie Oliver and her struggle to turn her back on everything she knows when she discovers the evil behind the curtain in her Christian evangelical world.

Although Televenge is about religion, it's a book that will appeal to many readers. For at its core, it's a character-driven saga, filled with lots of drama and unexpected twists. Some compare it to Diana Gabaldon's Outlander or Barbara Kingsolver's Poisonwood Bible; others say fans of Fannie Flagg and Janet Evanovich will be hooked. WOW's Jodi Webb says it reminds her of Dallas (remember that show?). It's well-written and fast paced, and even though it's a tome at over 500 pages (!) it's a book you will burn through and not be able to put down.

Stop by The Muffin today for a writer-inspired interview with Pamela King Cable and enter to win a copy of Televenge. You will want to read this fantastic book! The giveaway closes on Friday, October 12 at 12:01 am PST, so don't miss out. Tweet about this great giveaway using the hashtag #Televenge.

 About Televenge

Televenge Televenge

by Pamela King Cable

Andie Oliver is a faithful woman--to God, to her handsome husband Joe, and to televangelist Reverend Calvin Artury, a Godfather in a Mafia of holy men.

Raised in the 1970s to be subservient and submissive in the tradition of the Bible-belt South, she becomes a prisoner of that tradition. As a reluctant member of Artury's evangelical megachurch, the House of Praise in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Andie's dream of children, home, and marriage falls apart when Joe is hired by the ministry team. Joe had been a gentle lover, a kind man, and a hard-working and faithful husband. Only lately had Andie felt him turn his attention more to church than her.

Vivid and tragic, Televenge exposes chaos in the megachurch, and embraces those who discover their destiny in unconditional love in a world fraught with fear and intimidation. With more twists and turns than the Blue Ridge Parkway, Televenge takes you from the Piedmont South to the Hawaiian Islands, to Nigeria, Africa, and back to the high country of North Carolina.

Breaking the Code Tour Dates: November 5, 2012 - November 30, 2012

Title: Breaking the Code

Author: Karen Fisher-Alaniz

Genre: Memoir

Synopsis:
On his 81st birthday, without explanation, Karen Fisher-Alaniz's father placed two weathered notebooks on her lap. Inside were more than 400 pages of letters he'd written to his parents during WWII. She began reading them, and the more she read, the more she discovered about the man she never knew.

They began to meet for lunch every week, for her to ask him questions, and him to provide the answers. It was through this process that she discovered the secret role he played in WWII. Karen's father was part of a small and elite group of men who were trained to copy and break top-secret Japanese code transmitted in Katakana.

Through this journey, with painful memories now at the forefront of his thoughts, Karen's father began to suffer, making their meetings as much about healing as discovery. Thus began an unintended journey--one taken by a father and daughter who thought they knew each other--as they became newly bound in ways that transcended age and time.

"It's a story that left me covered with goosebumps time and again and eventually moved me to tears..." ~ J.A. Jance, NY Times Bestselling Author

Participate!
Please  email us with "Blog Tour Partnership" in the subject line and your available dates. We schedule 2-3 stops per week from November 5 - November 30. You will receive a copy of Breaking the Code by Karen Alaniz. We look forward to hearing from you!
