WOW! Women On Writing
Greetings!

FanStory has some exciting new contests this season!

If you haven't heard of FanStory.com before, it's an interactive site that allows you to post your stories, enter contests, and receive feedback. As soon as you post a story, essay, or poem, you start getting reviews and critiques from the community.

I've been a member of FanStory since 2006! Over the years, FanStory has inspired my writing through its prompts and contests, and the feedback from fellow members has helped me polish my short stories.

The site is super easy to navigate and their writing contests are a lot of fun! Check out the New Arrival Story Contest, deadline: August 16th! $100 cash prize; free entry for members. And if you are feeling particularly ambitious, they have a prompt-based contest with a $100 cash prize that ends at midnight tonight! They also have poetry contests, short story contests, a personal essay contest, and our favorite, flash fiction. All contests are free to enter as a FanStory member.

Enjoy!

"At the first of this year (2012) the site sponsored a contest to write a novel in two months. I completed it February 29 of this year.

Last night I signed a contract with a publisher.

Thanks so much to the people who read "Melinda Heads West" and helped me by reviewing and sending tips my way. I'm over the moon! I've said this before, I'm saying it again.... I LOVE FANSTORY! Thanks for all you do!"
