The Christmas Village Blog Tour Invitation

WOW! Women On Writing announces Melissa Ann Goodwin's blog tour!

Blog Tour dates:
November 7, 2011 - December 2, 2011

Come and join the fun! Meet these Melissa and visit her fabulous blog hostesses.

Dear ,

Forty-eight days until Christmas--that's only seven weeks! Remember when counting down the days until Christmas was so much fun? The anticipation you felt, wanting the day to hurry-up and come, yet at the same time thoroughly enjoying all the days leading up to it? There were parties and school plays, construction paper chains and advent calendars, and presents hidden in your parent's secret hiding place that wasn't as secret as they thought. There were also wonderful tales of visits from Santa, visits from the spirits of Christmases past, tales of sleigh rides and reindeer, and of family--there was always a warm message of family. Remember how your parents would read you those stories year after year? We'd like to bring that feeling back!

WOW! is launching the holiday season with The Christmas Village by Melissa Ann Goodwin. This is sure to become a modern-day Christmas classic that families will read year after year. It isn't about Santa or presents, it is a winter adventure taking place at Christmas time. It is a story about friendship, family, courage, and forgiveness.

Stop by The Muffin today for a wonderful interview and leave a comment or ask a  question for a chance to win a signed copy of The Christmas Village. For an extra entry, link to the post on Twitter with the hashtag #TCVllg. The giveaway contest closes this Thursday, November 10th at 11:59 PM, PST. We will announce the winner in the comments section the following day, Friday November 11th.

Bloggers: Melissa's dance card is getting pretty full, but be sure to check out our upcoming tours in the sections below.

Happy reading!

 About The Christmas Village

The Christmas VillageThe Christmas Village

by Melissa Ann Goodwin

When Jamie Reynolds comes to his grandparents' Vermont home for Christmas, he just wants things to go back to the way they were before his dad disappeared. Time and again he is drawn to Grandma's miniature Christmas Village, where he imagines that life is perfect.

Late one night, the village comes to life before Jamie's eyes, and his fantasy of escaping into it becomes very real indeed. He discovers that the village is called Canterbury, where the year is 1932. Jamie becomes fast friends with Kelly and Christopher Pennysworth, and is taken in by Ida, who runs the local boarding house. But he also makes a dangerous enemy of the mysterious and menacing Jim Gordon, whose return to town is nothing but trouble.

As Jamie desperately races against time to find his way back home, he is suddenly faced with a terrifying choice: to go ahead with his plan to leave, or to stay and help his friends, at the risk of never going home again.

Any Color But Beige

Tour Dates: November 14, 2011 - December 14, 2011

Title: Any Color But Beige

Author: Catherine Larose

Genre: Memoir (or "femoir" as Cat calls it)

Synopsis:
After years of living a beige existence, Cat Larose, international color marketing expert, finally added a little color to her own life. All it took was a Paris sunset and a little red suitcase.

Everyone wanted Cat's life. She had a handsome husband, a stylish home and a fascinating career as an international color-marketing consultant. Work took Cat to some of the world's most beautiful cities but something was missing: ironically, it was color. One day she found herself in Paris watching a sunset and, in a moment of clarity, she caught a glimpse of her sepia-toned future. When Cat got home, she did what she'd longed to do for years. She decided to paint her bedroom a magnificent Bordeaux red and put an end to her beige existence and her marriage. That was the beginning of a new life.

Any Color but Beige is a bright, funny, genuine account of one woman's search for love in the deep end of the dating pool. None of the self-help books prepared Cat for the often funny, occasionally puzzling, sometimes sad but always colorful dating adventures with an international cast of frogs, princes and players. Cat makes the classic female mistake of thinking that love is a life preserver. Until one day she learns to swim.

Participate!  Please  email us with "Blog Tour Partnership" in the subject line and your available dates. We schedule 2-3 stops per week from November 14th - December 14th. You will receive a copy of Any Color But Beige by Cat Larose. We look forward to hearing from you!
