WOW! Women On Writing Newsletter "Spotlight On Readers"
January 2007

Greetings!

Happy New Year!

Have we got a great issue for you!

For one thing, the Contest Winners are announced and we couldn't be happier with the choices! Our lovely guest judge Teresa came through, just in time for our Spotlight On Readers Issue, which is perfect, because we published the top 10 and they are all excellent reads. Congratulations to all!

A special thanks goes out to all who donated to our prize winners:

Just take a look at all the wonderful authors, agents, editors and publishers who've donated prizes to support all of you. The response from our supporters has been absolutely amazing! They really want to help you succeed, as do we.

We're hoping to be posting interviews soon with the top ten contestants, but at the moment, we're having major Blogger Issues. Anyone else having this problem with them? Anyway, we'll let you know asap when it's back up.

News about our site:

We're going through the process of upgrading our site, making it faster, interactive, adding a multimedia section of podcasts and video, etc. and we'd like your feedback.

  1. What features do you think would make WOW! more user-friendly?
  2. What do you like that you do not want changed?
  3. What do you dislike?
  4. Tell us your crazy ideas!
Let us know, our ears are burning: editors@wow-womenonwriting.com

We've Added Two New Columns:

  • Freelancer's Corner
  • C. Hope Clark's Funds For Writers
This means we are looking for Freelancers to write articles each month on topics that interest you!

Welcome to the Family:

A heartfelt congratulations goes out to our new freelancers: Hope for her new column, Leah Cano for her inspiring piece on journaling, and Beth Morrissey on her fascinating article on women's workspaces. Great Job Ladies!

This Month: We published your book reviews!

Next Month: What's Your Writing Muse?

Last month we asked you to submit book reviews and you came through with flying colors. This month, we're asking you to e-mail us a short paragraph or two (up to 500 words) about something that inspires you to write. It could be a book that you've read, a coffee cup with a funny saying, a troll doll with purple hair, a walk in the park, rollerskating, or stick-pinning a voodoo doll... whatever it is, we want to hear about it! It'll be for our review column, reviewing your writing inspiration. DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: JANUARY 24TH
Be sure to send us a picture of your writing inspiration, you, or both, with your bio, and we'll publish it!
E-mail us your submission!

We hope you enjoy this issue and please let us know your thoughts. ;-)

Warmly,
Angela & Beryl
