Greetings!

Hi everyone!  We're all excited about our plans for the store!  We're still working on our organizing project.  We're going to be rearranging some of our displays to open up the store and give you more room to browse.  In the next few weeks, we're going to be changing over to a new POS (point of sale) system.  Checking out will be faster for all of you!  Using the "zapper" to ring up your purchases, will allow us to give you better service.  It will take us a while to get all of our merchandise into the computer, so bear with us, as we try to make this change over as smooth as possible for you.

We also want to let you know that we have discontinued the Git 'R Done Girls club.  We have lot's of plans for new ways to offer you rewards & discounts for shopping & cropping with us.  As we get the POS system up & running, we'll let you in on all our plans.  These new plans all revolve around entering your information into our computer system.  We'll only have to do this once on your initial visit to the store after the system is ready.  That way we'll be able to keep track of everything without juggling cards or asking you to keep track of a punch card.  With think this new system will be a great addition to Whimzee's!

I hope everyone had a great time cropping on Friday night!  I enjoyed seeing the regulars and getting to know those of you who are new to cropping at Whimzee's!  Take a look at your calendar during Spring Break, we're planning a Spring Break Escape crop event for that week.  Get together with your friends and pick an evening to come crop at the store.  We'll be having a crop each night of Spring Break, so be sure to find out when your group will be around & give us a call to sign up for your night!  We will have special coupons & discounts for that week too!  We know that many of you, like the Whimzee's Girls, aren't going on big vacations this year, so spend the day with the kids at OMSI  & then spend the evening with your friends cropping at the store!  We'll have more information on the Spring Break Escape coming soon, so watch your e-mailbox!

And yes, I am working on all the CHA photos for the blog!  There were more than I thought...183 to be exact.  So I'm grouping them together, this will make it easier for you to find the ones you're interested in.  My first post was Graphic 45 on Monday.  You'll love the paper crafting projects made with all the Graphic 45 papers, along with some really cool cards.  Check our blog now and then check back often for new posts & CHA photos.  Remember you can sign up to follow the blog or subscribe to it, so you don't miss a thing.  We're always looking for more followers and subscribers, some of the keys to a successful blog.  Another thing that would help our blog grow is for its readers to comment on what they read, feel free to do this anonymously, if you wish.  We're working on building our online community, so you'll have one more place to connect with friends and look for inspiration.

See you in the store...and on the blog! :)  -Julie
Graphic 45 Arrives

7 Gypsies StickersAs soon as Twila put out the new Graphic 45 (just to the left of the register, when you're looking in the store), people started grabbing it up.  We have three collections, Times Nouveau, Fashionista & Communique.  These papers are beautiful, with deep, rich colors and all sorts of patterns reminiscent of the past.  You'll find images that look like they've been pulled from a 1920's catalog right along side pears & cherries and patterns from old fabrics like houndstooth and floral.  I think these papers would be perfect on your next papercrafting project.  Soon I'll have a group of ideas for using these projects up on the blog.  Twila's photos from CHA have inspired me to think more about these papers and how I can use them.  Once I get my projected figured out, I'll post it on the blog too.  We can't wait to see what ideas you come up with!  We always love to see your projects, so bring them by the store or send us a photo via email.  But be sure to come by soon to pick up Graphic 45's double-sided papers, die cut sheets with tags, alphabets & frames.

If you're looking for ideas using Graphic 45's papers, check out their website gallery.  And don't forget, their booth from the show is on our blog now!
Pick Up Some Pixee Stix

7 Gypsies StickersWhen I saw this display, I couldn't resist snapping its photo!  Our new Pink Paislee Pixee Stix, look just yummy sitting on the shelf and even yummier on your cards & layouts.  These cute little glitter-filled straws come in 17 flavors (colors) including strawberry, coconut & cream soda.  Some of the glitters are sparkly and some have more of a matte finish.  Use them to add that final touch to your projects.  I think I'll try them around the edges of die cut letters on my latest scrapbook layout.  Which flavors will you choose?  How will you decide?  Where will you put them?  Priced at only $1.99, there is no limit to what you can create with our Pink Paislee Pixee Stix!

Texture, Glitter, Glaze 75cents

7 Gypsies StickersWhile at the crop on Friday night, I had a great time searching through our latest arrival....a huge box of papers from Die Cuts with a View.  Each of these papers has an extra little something, either textured, glazed or glittered.  Inside the box were a great variety of papers, zoo, safari, tropical, floral, robots, cute forest animals...too many for me list here.  And almost as exciting as the finishes and variety is the price, only 75 cents a sheet!!!  By now these papers are priced & on the shelf for you to choose from, be sure to browse the store to find your favorites.  Just ask us if you need a little help with locating them!

New Papers for Spring

7 Gypsies StickersIf you're looking for something to cheer you up right now, look no further than our latest arrivals from Best Creation.  All new for Spring, and available in lot's of new themes, these papers are double-sided and glazed.  They are all beautiful additions to our St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Spring and Girl & Boy areas.  I'm particularly excited about the kite paper.  I've got some kite-flying photos from last summer's beach trip, just waiting to find a home on this paper.  Here's a tip many of you seasoned scrapbookers probably already use....come check out the colors & prints of these papers and plan your Spring photos before they happen.  OK, maybe it's just me, but I've been known to choose the paper first and then the "other little details" like my kids' clothing!  Yes, I've got quite the attention to detail (as I call it, my husband just thinks I'm crazy), but I do love pages where everything is coordinated!

Pink Paislee Paper

7 Gypsies Stickers
Just inside the door to the left, are our newest paper collections.  We're excited to be offering the latest from Pink Paislee, Captivating, Fetching & Fascinating, along with Vintage Moon are all on display.   Choosing my favorite was too difficult, I think I am choosing them all!  In my bag right next to the cool papers are stickers, brads, chip elements, press ons & chip stickers.  I think these collections offers something for everyone, florals, animals, great color combinations.  Get them while they last!
