Greetings!
Summer is here, and for some of us, this may mean a lull in our work activity. For others, this may be your high season. Whatever your work situation, summer brings many opportunities for leisure and fun so efficiency at work is key to allowing more time to enjoy this beautiful Colorado season. Let's work hard so we can play hard! Here are some easy ways to help you enjoy the season and increase your focus and efficiency during the weekly grind: 1. Get creative by combining work and play and
attend business-related events such as the EuroNetworking night at The Tavern Downtown on June 30th! Enjoy the patio while making new business connections at the
same time. 2. Take control of your email by checking it first thing in the morning, after lunch and an hour before you leave (unless you are waiting for an urgent message of course). 3. Plan your day by making yourself a task list to keep you on track and focused. 4. Get moving! Allow yourself a few minutes every couple of hours to stretch and walk around to get the blood flowing and revitalize your energy and focus. We hope to see you soon and be sure to contact us or visit our website for any of your business or resource needs. www.rmfacc.org

FACC and CORA in the News

Colorado and France are Natural Economic Development Partners
An article by FACC's Angela Bruns, Assistant Director/Event Coordinator, published in the May 2010 issue of ColoradoBiz Magazine: "The French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) is continuing
to make itself known around Colorado
as an increasingly active international organization. Part of a global network
of French chambers, the Rocky Mountain chapter is led by three women: Executive
Director Virginie Ganivet, and her assistants, Sara Squires, and the author of
this column, who are helping to put Colorado on the map in the eyes of the
French business world. Some may consider Colorado/France relations to be an
unlikely match, but believe it or not, French majority-owned companies with
operations in the Rocky
Mountain region rank
fourth among foreign-owned companies in terms of number of employees. In the
past year alone, the total dollar amount of our state's exports to France increased
from $9 million to $10.4 million, according to the Colorado Office of Economic
Development and International Trade." Read More>>> |
