Racquet Babolat VS North America

TENNIS RUNS IN OUR BLOOD
Babolat is passionate about the game of tennis...about exploring and bringing to market new ways for champions to win and for more people to enjoy this great sport. With U.S. operations headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, Babolat is a 135-year old specialized tennis company providing the complete tennis solution from racquets and strings to footwear and accessories.

Founded in Lyon, France, Babolat has been family-run for five generations and dates back to 1875 when Pierre Babolat (current owner Eric Babolat's great-great grandfather) invented the very first tennis strings. Babolat's history in the U.S. is more recent; racquets were introduced into the U.S. market in 2000, and since then Babolat has become the fastest growing racquet company to enter this market. Today, Babolat has 27.3% of market share for racquets (value dollar share year to date, Sports Marketing Surveys USA, October 2009) with Rafael Nadal's weapon, the Babolat Aeropro Drive, leading the way as the hottest selling racquet.

Nadal Vert.Babolat has more tennis champions than any other brand, winning a Grand Slam title every year since 1877. From Lacoste and Lenglen to Ashe, Borg and Sampras to Nadal, Roddick and Clijsters, Babolat champions contribute to the allure of the brand. These players have confidence in Babolat because of its history and long track record of performance and innovation.

From the first tennis strings in 1875 to the Pure Drive racquet-named racquet of the decade by TENNIS magazine in 1994-to the latest high tech Propulse shoes, Babolat maintains an intense pace of innovation. Babolat is in tune with its players, spending time on the courts and listening to their needs to develop high performance and game improvement products. Though Babolat products are often associated with the best tennis players in the world, the company produces racquets for players of all levels.

Today, present in more than 100 countries, Babolat has diversified its offering to provide players with a full set of technical equipment: strings (natural and synthetic), racquets, shoes, grips and accessories.

Skill Building Business Breakfast
Networking Made Easy
This was our first Business Breakfast of 2010 and we had a great turnout!  Cindy Rold of "The Networking Gurus" gave a very informative presentation on the topic of networking and participants were enthusiastic and eager to put these tips to use.  This is a new format evolving from the Small Business Roundtables in the past and guests enjoyed quiche, mixed fruit, coffee and tea provided by AmiCuisine.  People with varying degrees of comfort in networking gained newfound confidence in their approach for upcoming meetings with potential contacts.  If you were not able to attend this presentation but want to learn more, sign up for their "Guide To Denver's Networking Events" newsletter here.  We also want to extend sincere thanks to our sponsors, Alliance Francaise and AmiCuisine, who, with their support, help us to continue to offer quality programs at little or no cost to our participants.
