Euro Networking
On Wednesday, April 16 the French-American Chamber of Commerce, the British-American Business Council and the German-American Chamber of Commerce held their first Euro Networking event of 2008.
The event was held at Translations Gallery in the ArtDistrict on Santa Fe. Over 35 guests enjoyed French wine, good company and hors d'oeuvres from La Baguette de Normandy.

The "J-1 Visa" - Passport to experience
The French-American Chamber of Commerce promote international educational and professional exchange through four programs. Three of these programs are for French or other foreign nationals coming to the United States to perform internships. The fourth program is designed for Americans going to France for an international training experience.
Why the J-1 Visa?
Members of the French-American Chamber of Commerce may hire young European professionals (ages 18 to 35) to train for a period of up to 18 months in their US based operations.
The J-1 Visa program brings top young international talent to FACC member companies.
What does the French-American Chamber of Commerce do?
The French-American Chamber of Commerce is authorized by the U.S. Department of State to sponsor international trainees on a J-1 visa. This visa allows French and other foreign nationals to come to our member-companies in the U.S. and pursue up to 18 months of practical training. This time period is limited to 12 months for Students.
We also partner with the French government to secure work authorization for Americans to pursue internships for up to 18 months in France.
How can the FACC help me?
These programs are a great added value benefit of membership in any FACC chapter. They can help international interns get a J-1 visa quickly so they can come to the U.S. for practical training with your organization.

World Spirits Competition in San Francisco
Loujan Bas Armagnac takes Gold
The Loujan Bas Armagnac 17 year old was awarded a Gold Medal. And the 1979 Loujan Bas Armagnac received a Double Gold Medal (which is reserved for spirits that receive a unanimous vote for Gold Medal by all of the judges on the panel). Even more spectacularly, the 1979 received the "Best of Show" Award for the Best Brandy. The 1979 was selected as not only the best Armagnac but it won out over all of the Cognacs and other brandies as well.

Instead, you cultivate relationships and close renewal contracts with approximately 150-200 active accounts each quarter. Inside Sales Representatives place an average of 30-50 calls per day and use the computer to generate quotes, perform customer research, and update account notes using GoldMine CRM.
