    The Senate Department of Community Health (DCH) Appropriations subcommittee will be taking testimony for those in the Detroit area and the Traverse City area. This is a great opportunity for child advocates to in southeast and northwest Michigan to support adequate funding for children's services including 0-3 secondary prevention and the nurse family partnership.

    The Senate Department of Human Services (DHS) Appropriations Subcommittee has also scheduled a meeting to address proposed cuts in child abuse and neglect prevention and other services for children and families.

    Learn More About Free- and Low-Cost Children's Health Care

    On Monday, March 23, 2009 during Cover the Uninsured Week, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and the Michigan Department of Community Health are sponsoring a program on children's health insurance. At this seminar you will learn about low-cost or free health care programs for the uninsured, including how to help someone you know apply for programs such as MIChild and Healthy Kids.
