About the Artists
Through the use of creative problem solving skills and personal characteristics of tenacity and patience, the students and staff of McDaniel College produce stunning works of wearable and functional art. Seven artists, composed of students, staff, and alumnae, present their art that has been inspired by historical objects, nature, art history, and culture.
About the Exhibition
The jewelry program at McDaniel College (a small liberal arts college in Westminster, MD) provides students with not only the skills needed to succeed in the jewelry studio, but also the skills needed to succeed in life. Through the instruction of Linda Van Hart (professor and creator of the jewelry program) students, alumnae, and staff have benefited from the abiding respect for and knowledge gained about the tools that they have used in Van Hart's classes.
